Work-life Balance Influences Retention

The top three drivers that influence attraction and retention of talent in Canada are work-life balance, diversity, and the opportunity to be involved in interesting, meaningful work, says the ‘Kelly Global Workforce Index.’ It shows Canadian workers were as likely to rate their employers highly on promoting work-life balance, as their global counterparts (66% versus 67% respectively). Canadian employers also received their highest ratings on being environmentally friendly/having responsible work practices (65%) and on their diversity/equal opportunities record (64%). Another 58% of Canadian workers rated their employer highly on giving them opportunities to be involved in interesting, meaningful work.
